Good Handwriting Not Needed...
One of the most common obstacles encountered by many scrapbooking enthusiasts is their handwriting. Like most people, they simply do not like their handwriting. They may say it’s uneven, too small, too large or any number of other complaints. Whatever the case may be, it stops many of them from including journaling in their scrapbooks. This can leave them feeling unsatisfied with their scrapbooks and, in some cases, causes them to stop scrapbooking all together. I’m here today to point out three very specific reasons why this should not be the case. My first reason...

Bead Spinner: The Efficient Bead Stringi...
Bead stringing is one special task that beaders learn to do well. However, for the amateur bead artists, the task can be a bit daunting especially if hundreds of beads need to be strung together for just a single piece of jewelry or art. It may take hours for them to finish a single craft and they need to use much of their fingertips just to slide beads to the thread. What if you are entitled to finish a single bead craft within 5 minutes and you need to string more than a hundred of beads? That’s pretty bothering. But, here’s the good news, one excellent tool for...

Joining Forces...
Joining up with other scrapbookers can be a very fun and rewarding experience. While some people like to work independently in the quiet of their own home, a vast majority like to get out of the house and join a crop. A crop is a group of people with similar interests who get together for uninterrupted time to learn new scrapbooking techniques, share ideas and meet new friends. When looking for a group to join, first consider what your interests are. These scrapbooking groups can be very general in nature or very specific to certain ideas, themes or interests. How to get Started Scrapbooking...
Many people would love to start scrapbooking but are simply unsure where to begin. Those boxes of photos may seem overwhelming and walking through the aisles of supplies may be intimidating. I’ve found there are five simple steps you can follow to get started scrapbooking. 1. Gather Your Supplies. No, you don’t need one of everything. Start simple. Choose an album, a few sheets of acid-free paper, acid-free adhesive, maybe some stickers, rubber stamps or embellishments and the pens you’d like to use to add captions or journaling. 2. Organize. Take out your...

A Teddy Bear For Everyone...
Every child deserves a teddy bear to hug when the world gets too painful, lonely or sad. Teddy bears are there to watch over them when the dark is too spooky, they need a best friend or their lives become unstable. There are many charitable organizations out there and they are all working toward the same goal, to put a teddy bear into the arms of a deserving child. The Vermont Teddy Bear Company started the Big Hero, Little Hero Program in September of 2002, to give children across the country a teddy bear to hug when they need one the most. More than 11 million children are...

Afghan Crochet...
Crocheting is a craft of making fabric out of yarns, threads and other materials with the use of a hook. Crocheting is claimed to have originated during the 1800s but people believe that it existed during much earlier times. Some people believe that crochet existed in some of the places in Arabia, China and the Americas.
