Ragdolls: Training

Ragdoll cats are extremely docile, they have a much laid back attitude and are absolutely non aggressive. They are not as active as other cats; in fact if they are attacked they do not defend themselves. They are more people oriented and like to be surrounded with people they often follow their masters like a puppy. Due to its sweet disposition they are said to be great charmers, they do not object to their masters putting them on their backs or being carried around like a baby, they quite enjoy being caressed and cajoled.

Ragdolls are generally placid, but they still love to play with all types of toys. They are not very vocal but you can hear their voice at certain occasions like meal times.

Here are some ways in which you can take car of your ragdolls and also train them.

It is important to keep in mind, that ragdolls love attention; they like to keep their owners happy. If you want too make your cat use the scratch post instead o9f the furniture, then you should pat your cat whenever it uses the post instead of the furniture.

They do not require excessive care and also do not shed excessively. Their soft rabbit like coat dose not at easily and need only occasional brushing and combined. For the longer hair near the neck and the hindquarters it is important to com it regularly. Ragdolls do not mind being groomed and in fact they enjoy the grooming session.

Ragdolls are very docile and are non aggressive, they cannot defend themselves when they are attacked because of this reason they should be kept as indoor pets only. You can also leash train the so hat you can take them out for walks with you.

All a ragdoll cat needs is good food, fresh eater and most importantly lots of love. It is important that you take them for regular check ups and are also regular with the vaccination. You can feed bits of raw beef to your ragdoll cat as it acts as a good supply of nutrition and also helps t clean is teeth, but you should be very careful about the supplier before feeding the beef to your cat.

There is no special medical condition that has been noted with this breed. But despite this fact, like all other breeds there are a certain line that are susceptible to certain illness it is very important that you check with its breeder to find out if his/her cat comes from the same line and if the cat has any health risks.
