Scrapbooking Travel Photos

Scrapbooking your travel photos can be a fun way to relive the good times you had on vacation. The trouble many people run into is not knowing how to organize their photos and lay them out.

Thankfully, for those of us who may draw blank there are many websites out there that offer pre-made layouts.

The other issue many people have with their travel photos is remembering exactly where certain photos were taken. The best answer to this common dilemma is to carry a journal with you. That way you can jot down a few notes to keep track of where you’ve been and what you’ve done.

If you use an instant camera or choose to get your pictures developed as you go, try sorting them into envelopes or small paper bags labeled with the date and places that are contained. Or you can plan ahead and purchase an organizer to take along with you. Scrapbooksupercenter.com has some great organizers.

If you bring a laptop with you and you’re using a digital camera you can upload your photos and add captions to them to keep track of them. Many of the popular photo editing software programs available have that feature.

Don’t forget to take the time to put away those odds and ends of memorabilia from your travels, too.

The ticket stubs, boarding passes, menus and travel guides from you trip will make fabulous additions to your scrapbook. Though many of these items have dates on them, you’ll want to jot down a few notes in your journal to go along with them.

When you get home and start working on your scrapbook the notes from your journal along with the dated, well-organized photos will make it a breeze to put your memories together. You may want to seriously consider laying your scrapbook out in chronological order.

Not only will it make more sense to you and others later on, but each time you look through it will be like reliving your vacation all over again.
