Scrapbooking Clubs

There are many benefits of being a member of a scrapbooking club. If you’re looking to ask people who have personal experience with scrapbooking clubs, You May Find More Information At:

One of the main reasons many women join scrapbooking clubs is to enjoy the company of others with similar interests. Like the old saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together.”

We all have that tendency in us. If you like sports you socialize with others who do, if you enjoy gardening, chances are you have friends who do as well. Scrapbooking clubs are a great way to make new friends and share your hobby with others who are interested in it, too.

Learning new techniques is another benefit of being a member of a scrapbooking club. There’s no finer way to learn something than a hands-on demonstration from someone who really knows what they’re doing.

Many scrapbooking clubs have guest speakers who, for a nominal fee, will make regular visits and teach new techniques to the members. More often than not, these speakers are paid for their visits. The money spent on speakers can either come from membership dues or each member pays individually for their seat at the event.

Having a night (or even an afternoon) out with the girls is a great plus. What mom wouldn’t love some much-needed, much-deserved time away from the kids while enjoying the company of others engaging in their favorite hobby? Often times scrapbooking clubs have a pot-luck arrangement where each member brings a dish or beverage to share.

Many clubs also chip in on babysitting expenses, and some even have on-site childcare. Who could ask for more?

And finally there’s the financial benefit. Whether you’re wincing at the cost of table space at craft fairs and flea markets or burdened by the cost of supplies and tools, money is a major reason many scrapbooking clubs are formed. Not only is it less of a burden for 15 people to go in on table space than for 5, but the costly supplies and tools can all be shared, as well.

If you simply can’t afford something or don’t have it, more likely than not, someone else in the club will have what you need.
